She was important because she was a social leader and without her we would not have women’s rights. She set up the first women's convention in 1848. This brought women all over together and to see how important women's rights were. Stanton and Anthony went Massachusetts senator Charles Sumner with 400,000 signatures to petitions for the Thirteenth Amendment. That was the one of the biggest events in women rights. She changed a lot of peoples mind because some people thought that men and women were not equal it was okay and it will always be like that. That's only a little bit of the stuff that she did that changed the world.
